Kathmandu – A decision has been made to form a seven-member special parliamentary committee to investigate irregularities and misuse related to the ‘Federal Civil Service Bill 2080,’ particularly concerning its cooling-off period provisions.

During a discussion on Saturday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire and chief whips from various parties agreed to establish this special committee. Mahesh Bartaula, the chief whip of CPN-UML, informed that the committee will consist of two members from the Nepali Congress, two from CPN-UML, one from the Maoist Center, one from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and one from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

It has been agreed that the Nepali Congress will lead the committee, which is expected to submit its report within 15 days.
