Constitution Day Celebrated at Tundikhel (PHOTOS)

Today marks nine years since the Constitution of Nepal was issued by the Constituent Assembly.

To celebrate, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli chaired a special ceremony at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, attended by President Ram Chandra Paudel, Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, and others. The government also encouraged everyone to celebrate Diwali and hoist the national flag on this occasion.

The Constitution, which was promulgated on October 20, 2015, reflects the seven-decade struggle of the Nepali people and includes principles of federalism, inclusive democracy, and secularism. The government observes this day annually as Constitution Day and National Day.

The event featured the hoisting of the national flag, along with cultural performances, music, and dance.
