Chitwan-2 reelects Rabi Lamichhane with huge margin

Rabi Lamichhane has been elected from Chitwan-2 thrashing his nearest rival Jit Narayan Shrestha (Nepali Congress) with a huge margin.

Lamichhane polled 54, 176 votes while Shrestha secured 11, 214 votes in a multi-cornered contest.

Chitwan-2 constituency had fallen vacant following Supreme Court verdict earlier that Lamichhane did not have a bona fide Nepali citizen status when he contested and won the November election.
