Chaudhary appointed CM of Lumbini Province

Nepali Congress leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has been appointed as the Chief Minister (CM) of Lumbini Province.

Chief of the Province, Amik Sherchen, appointed Chaudhary for the post on Thursday.

Earlier, Chaudhary has submitted a list of 53 members of the provincial assembly belonging to eight political parties and one independent.

Sherchan, on Tuesday had called for government formation, setting deadline for 4:00 pm today.

Leela Giri (CPN-UML), had failed to secure a vote of confidence in the Province Assembly leading to his exit on Monday.
