Kathmandu – Biratnagar Kings have been defeated again in their second consecutive match. In a poor performance, Biratnagar lost by 90 runs to Sudurpaschim. Biratnagar was weak in both bowling and batting during this heavy loss.
From the beginning, Biratnagar lost wickets continuously and was all out for 92 runs in 16.1 overs. Basari Ahmad was the highest run scorer for Biratnagar, contributing 24 runs. Apart from him, Rajesh Pulami scored 15 runs and Anil Kharel, who came in as the last wicket, scored 10 runs. No other player managed to score double figures.
In dismantling Biratnagar, Sudurpaschim’s Scott Kugeling took 3 wickets, while Abhinash Bohara also claimed 3 wickets. Additionally, Brandon McMullan, Ishaan Pandey, and Saib Jaib took 1 wicket each.
Previously, Biratnagar lost their first match by 8 wickets to Janakpur Bulls with 27 balls remaining. The heavy loss from the first match continued into the second match.
Biratnagar will face Lumbini Lions in their third match tomorrow afternoon. Sudurpaschim Royals, which defeated Biratnagar by a large margin, will face Kathmandu Gurkhas on Thursday.
In the ongoing tournament, Sudurpaschim became the first team to win by batting first. In the previous three matches, the team chasing the target had won.
