Argentina wins FIFA World Cup 2022 on penalty shootout

Argentina won its third world cup title defeating the defending champion France playing the game at Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar Friday.
The comfortable lead of 2-0 before the halftime by Argentina was snatched by France as Kylian Mbappe electrified his performance, netting twice within 2 minutes (80 and 81).
Again, with a goal at 108 minute, Messi gave a lead to Argentina but that was not enough to triumph the trophy as Mbappe secured his hat trick in the 118th minute.
The thrilling final ended at 3-3 after extra time led the game to a penalty shootout and Argentina emerged victorious with 4-2.
