CIAA suspends AOC of Manag Air

Kathmandu, 14 Oct: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CIAA) has suspended the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) of Manang Air Pvt. Ltd. until further notice.

The CIAA via its social site X has also announced that a four-member committee has been formed for the investigation of the H125 helicopter (9N-ANJ) accident of Manang Air.

A helicopter belonging to Manang Air with pilot Prakash Kumar Sedai alone on board crashed at Lobuche of Khumbupasang Lhamu Rural Municipality this morning while landing.

The helicopter was en route to Lobuche from Lukla.

The injured pilot was immediately airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. He is undergoing treatment at HAMS Hospital and is said to be out of danger.

During the last three months Manag Air saw two helicopters crash.
