Prez Trump surrenders at Fulton County Jail

Former U S president as well as purportedly forerunner for the upcoming presidential race within the Republican party has, today, surrendered at the Fulton County Jail, marking as the first former president with a mug shot, said U S media.

Trump spent more than 20 minutes at the Fulton County jail for the booking process and was released on bond, according to CNN.

Trump, along with 18 others, was on August 14 indicted by a grand jury in Georgia on criminal charges -more than a dozen out of his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Before he departed Georgia with the completion of being processed, ‘Trump slammed the case and denied any wrongdoing’, said CNN adding ‘Trump described the criminal case against him as ‘a travesty of justice’ and said ‘We have every single right to challenge an election that we think is dishonest.’
