Yogiraj Amarjyoti Baba, an enlightened disciple of Mahavatar baba and Guru Gorakhnath, has urged the Government of Nepal to preserve and protect the Mrigasthali shrine that is in bad shape currently.

During his four-day stay in Nepal where he had spent years as a young seeker, decades ago, Yogiraj visited several shrines including the Gorakhnath and was moved with its current plight.

He spoke to Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Home Affairs, Narayankaji Shrestha, urging him to protect the buildings around the Gorakhnath temple and develop it into a shrine befitting its pristine glory.

Legends say Guru Gorakhnath spent years meditating in Mrigasthali, and Yogiraj Amarjyoti also spent few years as a youth in pursuit of his spiritual journey.
