Japanese Minister Takei to lead international poll observation group

Japanese Minister of state for Foreign Affairs Takei Shunsuke will be leading the international group observing the election for House of Representatives and Provincial legislature on November 20.

Minister Shunsuke will be the highest dignitary visiting Nepal in the election observation mission. Japan has been extending regular logistical and other support to Nepal’s electoral process in the past.

The Carter Center and the European Union which used to dominate the International observation responsibility in the past have decided not to participate in the election in Nepal this time.
