Prez Poudel wants no traffic obstruction during his visit to parliament
Kathmandu, 19 May: President Ram Chandra Poudel has asked the government authorities not to obstruct traffic and movement of the people when he leaves Sheetal Niwas for Parliament and returns.
According to official sources, he has told the authorities that no general activities and movements of the people should be adversely affected.
The President has also expressed his desire to go to the parliament in car-cades instead of the traditional cavalries leading him.
‘It is still not known how much compromise can be made on his security and we are analysing it,” a Home Ministry source said.
The president is scheduled to address the joint session of the House and unveil the policies and programmes of the government today.
