Update: Fly Dubai aircraft heads towards destination

Altogether 175 people, seven of them members of the crew, on board a Fly Dubai aircraft had a providential escape, and freedom from fear of death in the sky, after one of its engines that had caught fire, came back to normal

The pilot reported after half an hour hold at an altitude of 28,000 ft that the engine was fine and fit to fly to its destination.

Tribhuvan Airport authority spokesperson Gyanendra Bhul said the aircraft was in a position to fly safely to its destination.

The onward journey began when the airport authorities had made all the arrangements for an emergency landing and deployment of fire brigades to control possible outbreak of fire.

The aircraft had taken off at 9.19 pm.
