Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav elected for the post of Vice-President

Ramsahaya Pradas Yadav, ruling coalition’s joint candidate for the Vice-presidential election, defeating his rivals Astalaxmi Shakya (Bohara) of the CPN (UML) and Mamata Jha of the Janamat Party

Yadav has been elected for the post securing voting weightage 30, 328 -184 voters of the Federal Parliament and 329 voters of the Provincial Assembly voted in his favor.

The Federal Parliament has 79 weighted votes, and the Province Assembly 48.
