Acharya who set himself on fire succumbs to injuries

Prem Parasad Archarya aged 37 who self-immolated Tuesday afternoon died early this morning.

Acharya attempted self-immolation at the heart of the federal capital-in front of Parliament Building, Baneshwor, KTM.

He was rescued by police and was immediately taken to the Clift and Burn Center Kritipur for treatment.

According to Dr Kiran Nakarmi of Kirtipur-based Burn Hospital, almost 80 percent of the body parts of Acharya was burnt and he passed away while undergoing treatment.
