The District Administration Office, Makwanpur, has advised against traveling on the Kanti Lokpath (Hetauda–Kathmandu section) during nighttime hours.

Makwanpur’s Chief District Officer, Basanta Raj Adhikari, issued a notice on Tuesday urging people not to travel via Kanti Lokpath from 5:00 PM on Ashadh 16 to 5:00 AM the following day.

The administration has warned of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts of the country on Ashadh 16 and 17, which could lead to landslides, road blockages, debris flow, floods, and rising water levels in rivers, particularly in hilly and mountainous regions. Therefore, it has advised against nighttime travel.

The administration has also urged people to refrain from risky activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, or crossing rivers in lakes, rivers, streams, and other water bodies. It has advised against unnecessary movement in areas prone to landslides, floods, and inundation, as well as along riverbanks and steep slopes, and has called for heightened vigilance.
