Special Court permits seven-day detention of CPN-UML’s Bishnu Poudel

The Special Court has granted permission to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation to detain CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel for seven days. A bench comprising judges Narayan Prasad Poudel, Hemant Rawal, and Umesh Koirala allowed the department to keep Poudel in custody for investigation for a week.

Poudel was arrested on charges related to money laundering in Surkhet on Monday and brought to Kathmandu by road. He was presented before the Special Court by the Department of Money Laundering Investigation on Tuesday.
