Rastriya Swatantra Party sets new candidacy rules at Chitwan convention

Chitwan – New rules have been announced for the election process at the first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) currently underway in Chitwan.

According to a notice issued by Bhuvan KC, the head of the RSP Central Election Commission, representatives who propose or support any candidate will not be eligible to become candidates themselves.

If nomination forms are registered in violation of this rule by the party’s election commission, such candidacies will be automatically invalidated.

The commission has also determined the number of proposers and supporters required for various positions.

For the candidacy of the party president, one proposer and 51 supporters are mandatory, while for other central committee members, one proposer and 21 supporters are required.

When registering candidacies, it is mandatory to submit the names, contact numbers, and signatures of the proposers and supporters.
