Fire at BYD service center in Birtamod causes damage worth 6 million

A massive fire broke out this morning at the BYD vehicle service center near the West Bus Stand in Birtamod-1, Jhapa. The fire started around 4 AM due to an electrical short circuit at the service center operated by Vikas Basnet. Various motor parts stored at the service center were destroyed in the blaze. Initial estimates suggest the fire caused damage worth approximately 6 million rupees. However, vehicles kept for repair at the service center were safely secured due to timely precautions. The fire, which began at 4 AM, was fully brought under control by 5:10 AM through the concerted efforts of the Birtamod Municipality fire brigade, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents.
