Iran and New Zealand draw 2-2 in World Cup Group G match

In a World Cup Group G match, the Asian team Iran played to a 2-2 draw against the European team New Zealand. New Zealand, unable to maintain their lead twice, shared the points with Iran, with both teams earning one point each. The match, held at the Los Angeles Stadium, was competitive between New Zealand and Iran.

Both teams created excellent opportunities and tried to put pressure on each other throughout the match. New Zealand took the lead early in the game. In the seventh minute, Eliza Just scored from a pass by captain Chris Wood, putting the team ahead 1-0.

However, Iran made a comeback in the 32nd minute. Ramin Rezaeian scored a brilliant goal to level the match at 1-1, ending the first half in a draw. In the second half, similar to the start of the first half, New Zealand regained the lead. They managed to double their advantage in the 54th minute.

Once again, Eliza Just scored his second goal from another Chris Wood pass, putting New Zealand ahead 2-1. But Iran continued their efforts to come back and equalized in the 64th minute. Mohammad Mohebi scored from a pass by Ramin Rezaeian, bringing the match to a 2-2 draw.

Towards the end of the match, both teams attempted to score but were unsuccessful, resulting in shared points. Previously in the group, Egypt and Belgium also played to a 1-1 draw.
