BIRATNAGAR – An Indian national found dead in a hotel in Biratnagar has been identified as a key suspect in the recent vandalism and shooting incident at Khan Global Studies in Patna, India.

According to the District Police Office, Morang, 24-year-old Prince Yadav fell ill on Saturday night at a local hotel. He passed away while being rushed to the nearby Neuro Hospital for treatment.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Navraj Karki, chief of the Morang Police, stated that an investigation into Yadav’s death is currently underway. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased was the brother of Roshan Anand, a Bihar-based educational entrepreneur.

SP Karki added that Yadav had reportedly fled to Nepal to hide after being implicated in a recent shooting incident at Anand’s educational institution. On June 2, a violent dispute erupted between Gyan Bindu GS Academy, operated by Anand, and Khan Global Studies in Patna. The confrontation escalated into vandalism, clashes, and gunfire at Khan Global Studies—an institution run by Faizal Khan (popularly known as ‘Khan Sir’), a prominent educator and YouTuber from Bihar. Following the incident, Faizal Khan had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Yadav.

Police investigations revealed that fleeing the legal backlash in India, Yadav arrived in Biratnagar on June 3 and initially checked into the Metro City Hotel near the Biratnagar Bus Park. Two days later, on June 5 (Jeth 22), he moved to the Shubh Hotel, which is where he ultimately passed away. Authorities believe he had been using the hotels as a hideout.

Ongoing Investigation and Detentions

While the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, police noted what appeared to be a head injury on Yadav’s body during the initial inspection.

SP Karki informed that four individuals who were staying at the hotel with Yadav have been taken into custody for questioning. The detained individuals have been identified as:

  • Jayaram Yadav (from Supaul, Bihar)

  • Laltu Yadav (from Supaul, Bihar)

  • Roshan Yadav (from Supaul, Bihar)

  • Ankit Yadav (from Saharsa, Bihar)

When Prince Yadav lost consciousness in his hotel room, he was rushed to the hospital by four individuals, including his cousin, Tirtha Kumar Yadav, a resident of Hanumannagar-14 in Saptari, Nepal.

The Morang Police have notified the deceased’s family regarding the incident and are currently making arrangements to hand over the body.
