Eight killed, 16 injured in bus accident on BP Highway, Kavrepalanchok

Kathmandu—The death toll has reached eight in a bus accident at Buchakot, Namobuddha Municipality-2, along the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok. All the deceased died at the scene.

The passenger bus, bearing the registration number Ba 2 Kha 8398, was en route from Banepa to Roshi Rural Municipality when it fell 200 meters off the road at Buchakot around 2:15 PM on Friday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista from the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, 16 people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.

He stated that the injured are currently receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
