The obstruction in Parliament due to the Prime Minister’s remarks has been lifted following discussions among the parties. After bilateral and multilateral talks to reopen the House, the House of Representatives session has returned to normal. The meeting, initially scheduled for 1 PM, was delayed by an hour as parties engaged in discussions.

During talks with opposition parties, Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane proposed that Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal respond to Parliament on behalf of the Prime Minister. However, the opposition insisted that if the Prime Minister could not attend, he should send a written address to the House, which Khanal could read aloud. The opposition eventually agreed to reopen the House under these conditions.

Now, Foreign Minister Khanal will provide clarification to Parliament regarding the Prime Minister’s statements.
