The government has corrected some technical errors found in the bill related to economic proposals presented in Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle stated. He informed that a one-page amendment detailing these corrections has been sent to all members of Parliament. The bill, initially submitted on Jestha 15, contained some mistakes which have now been rectified.

Speaking at a meeting of the Finance Committee on Wednesday, he claimed that these errors were identified through the initiative and efforts of the Ministry of Finance itself. He clarified that the ministry recognized the mistakes on its own and provided the amendment details to the MPs before discussions began, without any external party pointing them out.

To ensure that the debates and arguments in Parliament are more organized and based on accurate facts, the corrected five-point document was distributed in a timely manner, he added. Finance Minister Wagle emphasized that while the final decision-maker for the budget and related bills is the Finance Minister, the process is not conducted secretly by an individual. Instead, it involves collective discussion and agreement at the political and policy levels.

He noted that although there were minor errors during printing, the ministry corrected them promptly and proceeded transparently.
