Former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung, who resigned following questions about his assets, has hinted at a return to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Speaking at the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s district convention in Khorakha on Sunday, Gurung indicated that he might return as Home Minister if the investigation committee does not find him guilty. A committee was formed to investigate Gurung over allegations of possessing significant assets without a clear source, and it has already submitted its report.

Gurung has requested that if he is reappointed as Home Minister, no one should come to take photos or offer congratulations for the first two months. “If the government reinstates me as Home Minister, please refrain from visiting the ministry to congratulate or take photos for the initial two months,” he urged.

During his statement, Gurung revealed that some of the questions posed by the committee members were quite tough, and he responded accordingly. “The committee asked me where I acquired such assets. I calmly countered by suggesting that we should also investigate the committee members’ assets,” he said.
