Kalimati market sets today’s wholesale prices for fruits and vegetables

The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Board has set the maximum wholesale prices for agricultural produce for today.

According to the committee, the price per kilogram for large tomatoes (Nepali) is Rs 60, large tomatoes (Indian) is Rs 80, small local tomatoes is Rs 25, small tunnel tomatoes is Rs 45, red potatoes (long) is Rs 35, red potatoes (round) is Rs 35, white potatoes is Rs 30, and dried onions (Indian) is Rs 43.

Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 75 per kilogram, local cabbage at Rs 60, local cauliflower at Rs 90, hybrid white radish at Rs 25, long eggplant at Rs 50, and round eggplant at Rs 60.

Furthermore, the price per kilogram for string beans is Rs 65, maize beans is Rs 70, green peas is Rs 200, local butter beans is Rs 70, hybrid butter beans is Rs 70, kidney beans is Rs 130, flat beans is Rs 130, soybean pods is Rs 130, bitter gourd is Rs 40, bottle gourd is Rs 70, local pointed gourd is Rs 80, snake gourd is Rs 50, sponge gourd is Rs 60, ridge gourd is Rs 70, ripe pumpkin is Rs 60, long green pumpkin is Rs 70, round green pumpkin is Rs 50, okra is Rs 40, sweet potatoes is Rs 80, and yam is Rs 50, while squash is priced at Rs 80.

Mustard greens are Rs 70 per kilogram, spinach is Rs 90, cress is Rs 90, fenugreek greens is Rs 70, green onions is Rs 120, oyster mushrooms is Rs 250, button mushrooms is Rs 400, king oyster mushrooms is Rs 330, and shiitake mushrooms is Rs 1,000.

Asparagus is priced at Rs 350 per kilogram, fiddlehead ferns at Rs 90, broccoli at Rs 130, beets at Rs 60, moringa leaves at Rs 120, red cabbage at Rs 50, jhiri greens at Rs 100, celery at Rs 130, parsley at Rs 220, fennel greens at Rs 90, mint at Rs 120, horseradish at Rs 60, tamarind at Rs 200, bamboo shoots at Rs 140, tofu at Rs 160, and dried gundruk at Rs 350.

Fuji apples are Rs 300 per kilogram, Nepali bananas are Rs 200 per dozen, Malbhog bananas are Rs 220, lemons are Rs 220 per kilogram, pomegranates are Rs 420, Malda mangoes are Rs 120, Dasheri mangoes are Rs 130, green watermelons are Rs 45, jackfruit is Rs 200, local cucumbers are Rs 80, hybrid cucumbers are Rs 25, local cross cucumbers are Rs 70, tree jackfruit is Rs 50, Chinese pears are Rs 160, Nepali guavas are Rs 90, Indian guavas are Rs 100, local lychees are Rs 250, Indian lychees are Rs 300, raw coconuts are Rs 80, and green coconuts are Rs 160.

Additionally, ginger is Rs 130 per kilogram, dried red chilies are Rs 450, long green chilies are Rs 50, bullet green chilies are Rs 50, bird’s eye chilies are Rs 70, green akabare chilies are Rs 300, bhut jolokia is Rs 100, green garlic is Rs 200, fresh coriander is Rs 100, dried garlic (Chinese) is Rs 220, dried garlic (Nepali) is Rs 180, dried fish is Rs 1,000, fresh fish (rohu) is Rs 340, fresh fish (bachuwa) is Rs 300, and fresh fish (chadi) is Rs 250.
