Former PM Karki praises Nepal’s peaceful election as globally significant

Kathmandu – Former Prime Minister Sushila Karki has remarked that the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21 is worthy of study for the entire world.

She made this statement while inaugurating a central review workshop organized by the Election Commission today.

“A new party and a new generation have emerged victorious from the election. We must respect the people’s mandate and allow them to work,” said former Prime Minister Karki.

She highlighted the significant roles played by the then government, the Election Commission, security agencies, and journalists in the success of the election.

Former Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Anil Kumar Sinha noted that the election was conducted without any violent incidents, thanks to the cooperation of the government, the commission, and stakeholders, despite challenging circumstances.

Former Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal emphasized the need for good governance and the establishment of political culture in line with the spirit of the Gen Z movement to ensure the country’s stability.
