Fire at Khwapring School in Bhaktapur causes NPR 5 million damage

A fire at Khwapring English Secondary School in Bhaktapur Municipality, Livali, has caused significant damage. According to the school’s principal, Binod Prajapati, two floors of the school have been completely damaged, and five classrooms have been destroyed. The estimated loss amounts to around NPR 5 million. It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

Efforts are currently underway to remove the burnt materials and clean up the site. The school administration has stated that they are working to ensure that classes are not disrupted for many days. According to the Jagati Police Circle, a detailed assessment of the damage is ongoing.
