Kalimati market sets today’s wholesale prices for fruits and vegetables

Kathmandu – The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for agricultural produce for today.

According to the committee, the prices per kilogram are as follows: large tomatoes (Nepali) at Rs 60, large tomatoes (Indian) at Rs 75, small local tomatoes at Rs 30, small tunnel tomatoes at Rs 43, red potatoes (long) at Rs 35, red potatoes (round) at Rs 32, and dried onions (Indian) at Rs 43.

Additionally, local carrots are priced at Rs 80 per kg, local cabbage at Rs 50, local cauliflower at Rs 90, hybrid white radish at Rs 20, long brinjal at Rs 50, and round brinjal at Rs 50.

Furthermore, the prices per kilogram are as follows: yardlong beans at Rs 100, corn beans at Rs 80, local butter beans at Rs 80, hybrid butter beans at Rs 80, kidney beans at Rs 110, flat beans at Rs 130, soybean pods at Rs 150, bitter gourd at Rs 50, bottle gourd at Rs 80, local pointed gourd at Rs 70, snake gourd at Rs 55, sponge gourd at Rs 70, ridge gourd at Rs 70, ripe pumpkin at Rs 60, long green pumpkin at Rs 80, round green pumpkin at Rs 50, okra at Rs 50, sweet potato at Rs 80, and yam at Rs 40. Squash is priced at Rs 80 per kg.

The prices for leafy greens per kilogram are: mustard greens at Rs 70, spinach at Rs 90, lamb’s quarters at Rs 90, mustard leaves at Rs 50, fenugreek leaves at Rs 60, and green onions at Rs 130. Mushrooms are priced as follows: oyster mushrooms at Rs 250, button mushrooms at Rs 450, king oyster mushrooms at Rs 320, and shiitake mushrooms at Rs 1,000.

Asparagus is priced at Rs 350 per kg, fiddlehead ferns at Rs 80, broccoli at Rs 120, beetroot at Rs 60, moringa at Rs 120, red cabbage at Rs 50, jhiri greens at Rs 100, celery at Rs 130, parsley at Rs 220, fennel greens at Rs 90, mint at Rs 120, horseradish at Rs 60, green corn at Rs 50, tamarind at Rs 200, copper pod at Rs 140, tofu at Rs 160, and dried gundruk at Rs 350.

For fruits, the prices are: Fuji apples at Rs 300 per kg, Nepali bananas at Rs 200 per dozen, Malbhog bananas at Rs 220, lemons at Rs 210 per kg, pomegranates at Rs 420, Malda mangoes at Rs 120, Dasheri mangoes at Rs 130, green watermelons at Rs 45, jackfruit at Rs 200, local cucumbers at Rs 80 per kg, hybrid cucumbers at Rs 25, local cross cucumbers at Rs 70, tree jackfruit at Rs 50, Chinese pears at Rs 160, Nepali guavas at Rs 90, Indian guavas at Rs 100, local lychees at Rs 250, Indian lychees at Rs 300, raw coconuts at Rs 80, and green coconuts at Rs 180.

The prices for spices and other items are: ginger at Rs 130 per kg, dried red chilies at Rs 450, long green chilies at Rs 50, bullet green chilies at Rs 50, bird’s eye chilies at Rs 80, goat horn chilies at Rs 80, green garlic at Rs 180, green coriander at Rs 100, dried garlic (Chinese) at Rs 220, dried garlic (Nepali) at Rs 180, dried fish at Rs 1,000, fresh fish (rohu) at Rs 340, fresh fish (bachuwa) at Rs 300, and fresh fish (chadi) at Rs 250.
