RSP’s Rabi Lamichhane meets BJP President Nitin Naveen in Delhi

Kathmandu – Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, currently on a visit to India, met with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Naveen. The meeting took place on Tuesday at the BJP’s central office in Delhi. During the meeting, BJP President Naveen highlighted the historical, cultural, and civilizational ties between India and Nepal. He expressed confidence that such political dialogues would strengthen the relationship between the parties of the two countries and further reinforce democratic dialogue.

President Naveen briefed President Lamichhane on the BJP’s journey since its inception, its ideology, organizational structure, and its people-centric political approach.

During the discussions, Lamichhane showed interest in the BJP’s membership distribution process, candidate selection system, and the party’s mechanism for connecting with grassroots workers.

In response, President Naveen clarified that the BJP’s organizational strength is based on continuous public engagement, booth-level activity, and the participation of ordinary citizens in democratic processes. He also mentioned that the development-oriented governance and welfare model under the leadership of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a key aspect of the BJP’s public engagement. They also discussed the increasing role of ‘Gen Z’ in politics, their democratic participation, and their contribution to future leadership development.

The meeting was attended by BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Singh, Members of Parliament Sanjay Jaiswal and Bansuri Swaraj, and Head of the Foreign Affairs Department Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, among others.

After the meeting, the RSP team visited the BJP’s media center and central library. The gathering concluded with a luncheon attended by Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Manoj Tiwari, Praveen Khandelwal, Harsh Malhotra, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, among other leaders.
