Fire at Everest Ply Door Industry causes Rs 50 million in damages

A fire at the Everest Ply Door Industry in Naya Basti, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-21, Phultekra, has caused damages worth Rs 50 million. The fire, which started on Friday afternoon, was brought under control only by Saturday. According to the industry operator, Prakash Rana, all machinery, raw materials, and finished doors were reduced to ashes.

It is suspected that the fire might have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratitsingh Rathour, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Banke, stated that the fire, which began on Friday afternoon, was controlled by Saturday. The fire was extinguished with the help of fire engines from various local levels in Banke and Bardiya, along with efforts from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents. The collection of details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is ongoing.
