1,773 drivers fined for traffic violations in Kathmandu Valley in 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, 1,773 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules, resulting in a revenue collection of Rs 644,502 for the state treasury.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 100 individuals for driving under the influence, 118 for illegal ride-sharing, 136 for disobeying traffic signals, and 237 for speeding.

Additionally, 82 drivers were penalized for not maintaining lane discipline, 89 for honking in prohibited areas, 120 for parking on sidewalks, 91 for driving on one-way streets, and 800 for other traffic violations.
