The government has increased the salaries of its employees.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has announced a significant salary hike for government employees starting from the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.

The salary will see a 21 percent increase effective from Shrawan 1.

Government employees had not seen a salary increase for the past four years.

The government has kept the inflation allowance unchanged. It indicated that while the salary increase is only 10 percent, the budget prioritizes incentive-based allocations.

After the increase, employee salaries are expected to range from a minimum of 40,000 to over 100,000.
