Kathmandu – The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has raided the central office of the state-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) in Lainchaur, seizing important documents. The CIB team collected documents deemed necessary for the investigation and has returned.

According to a CIB source, the investigation process in this case has already commenced. DDC has been embroiled in controversy for a long time due to pending payments to farmers. The corporation still owes approximately 580 million rupees for four months’ worth of milk collected from farmers.

However, DDC claims it has already paid 120 million rupees of the outstanding amount. A few days ago, Prime Minister Balendra Shah shared a photo on social media of himself eating yak cheese produced by DDC. This act was met with various comments on social media, with some saying it helped promote DDC.
