Lumbini Provincial Assembly to discuss annual policies and Tharu community bill

The seventh meeting of the eighth session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is scheduled to convene at 1 PM on Tuesday.

According to the agenda released by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, the meeting will begin discussions on the government’s annual policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084.

At the start of the meeting, assembly members will express their views on contemporary issues during the zero hour. Following this, Social Development Minister Janmajay Timilsina will present the ‘Bill for the Protection of Customs and Traditions of the Tharu Community, 2083’ to the assembly.

Similarly, Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya will present a copy of the ‘Annual Policies and Programs’ for the fiscal year 2083/084, as introduced by the Provincial Chief, to the assembly.

Provincial Assembly member Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary will propose a vote of thanks for the address on the annual policies and programs, which will be seconded by member Jamuna Dhakal.

Subsequently, the Speaker will present this proposal for decision. Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya will then propose to commence discussions on the ‘Annual Policies and Programs’.

After the proposal, assembly members will participate in the discussion on the policies and programs, as noted by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
