Kathmandu – KP Sharma Oli, the chairperson of CPN-UML, paid tribute to the people’s leader Madan Bhandari and skilled organizer Jeevraj Ashrit.

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Dasdhunga accident, Oli remembered Madan Bhandari as an old comrade, leader, and friend in a Facebook post.

He noted that as time passes, the memory of this mysterious incident and the wounds and void it left on the country and the party have only deepened.

Oli recalled the days when he worked closely with Bhandari, who provided an original ideological narrative to the Nepali political movement through the concept of ‘People’s Multiparty Democracy’ (Jana Bahudaliya Janawad).

Oli claimed that Bhandari’s ideas offered a clear roadmap for adapting the Nepali communist movement to the times and transforming the lives of the people.

He stated that the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ is being advanced on the foundation of ‘People’s Multiparty Democracy’.

Oli argued that in the past decade, this campaign has led to significant changes in Nepal’s human and physical infrastructure development.

According to Oli, ‘Jana Bahudaliya Janawad’ is a timeless idea grounded in reality, not just a trend for a particular season.

He mentioned that although veteran warriors like Madan Bhandari and Jeevraj Ashrit are not physically present, their ideas and contributions continue to shine like beacons in the journey of Nepali politics.
