Moderate rainfall and thunderstorms expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces

Currently, the country is experiencing the effects of western and local winds, as well as a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the nation.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy, while other areas are partly cloudy. Some areas in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as one or two places in Koshi province, are experiencing light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the rest of the country, will generally remain cloudy, while the Terai will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions and one or two places in the Terai.

Similarly, tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally remain cloudy, while the rest of the hilly and Terai regions will be partly cloudy.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated the possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning in some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as one or two places in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
