Cloudy weather and moderate rainfall reported in several Nepali provinces

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently experiencing the effects of a western low-pressure system, local winds, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere.

According to the department, there is generally cloudy weather in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, while the rest of the areas are partially cloudy.

Moderate rainfall is occurring in some parts of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as in certain areas of Lumbini and Gandaki provinces. The forecast for today afternoon indicates that the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, with partial cloudiness in other areas.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, in some areas of Koshi province, parts of the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in the remaining Himalayan and hilly areas. Additionally, a few places in the Terai regions of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces may also experience similar weather conditions.

Similarly, tonight, the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy, with partial cloudiness in other areas.

The department has indicated that moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, could occur in some places in Koshi and Madhes provinces, the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and a few locations in the Himalayan areas of Karnali province.
