Prakash Adhikari appointed Secretary of Nepal’s House of Representatives

Kathmandu— Prakash Adhikari has been appointed as the Secretary of the House of Representatives.

President Ram Chandra Poudel appointed him on Wednesday. According to Article 106, Sub-article 1 of the Constitution, he was appointed as Secretary, as informed by the President’s Office spokesperson, Ritesh Kumar Shakya.

Just on Tuesday, the then Secretary of the House of Representatives, Harkaraj Rai, was relieved of his duties. President Poudel dismissed Rai and appointed Adhikari in his place.

Rai, who was appointed Secretary during the tenure of former Speaker Devraj Ghimire, was asked for clarification by the current Speaker, Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, before being relieved of his duties.
