Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets in the Indian Premier League, climbing to the top of the points table. With this thrilling loss to Bangalore, Mumbai’s playoff hopes have ended. The match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur went down to the last ball, with Bangalore emerging victorious.

After losing the toss, Mumbai batted first and scored 166 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing a target of 167, RCB achieved it in 20 overs, losing 8 wickets. Krunal Pandya played a crucial role in RCB’s victory, scoring 73 runs off 46 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Apart from him, Jacob Bethwell scored 27 runs, and Jitesh Sharma made 18 runs. Devdutt Padikkal contributed 12 runs as another double-digit scorer. Bhuvneshwar Kumar played a decisive role in the team’s victory by scoring an unbeaten 7 runs, including a six on the fourth ball of the final over.

For Mumbai, Corbin Bosch took 4 wickets, while Deepak Chahar claimed 2 wickets. In Mumbai’s innings, Tilak Varma scored a half-century with 57 runs, and Naman Dhir made 47 runs. Rohit Sharma added 22 runs, and Raj Bawa scored 16 runs. Will Jacks contributed 10 runs to the total.

For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4 wickets, while Josh Hazlewood, Ruskin Salaam, and Romario Shepherd each took 1 wicket.
