In Kathmandu, the Nepal Army has removed a grenade found in the forest above the Ram Temple in the Pashupatinath Temple area. The army’s disposal team took the grenade for testing. The police received information about the discovery of the grenade at 8 AM on Sunday.

Following this, the army’s disposal team arrived to handle the situation. DSP Kaushal Budhathoki from the Kathmandu Police informed that three objects resembling plastic grenades were found and taken for testing by the army.

The grenade does not appear to have been placed recently, as it is rusted. Budhathoki speculated that it might have been placed there about 3 to 4 months ago. “It wasn’t placed recently. It’s rusted, suggesting it was likely placed around 3 to 4 months ago,” he said.

Some social media posts have been spreading information that a bomb was found in a squatter settlement. However, Budhathoki clarified that the bomb was found far from the squatter settlement. He explained that the Ram Temple is located above the squatter settlement, and the bomb was found about 100 meters further up in the forest. “It’s not near the squatter settlement. It was found far away. After entering from the squatter settlement, the Ram Temple is above, and the object was found about 100 meters further up in the forest,” he stated.
