Indu Barma to lead Nepal women’s cricket team in Asian qualifiers

Kathmandu– The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced the Nepali women’s national cricket team on Wednesday for the Asian Games qualifiers and the ACC Women’s Premier Cup.

CAN has revealed the names of 14 players for the Nepali women’s team, with four players listed as alternates.

Indu Barma has been named the captain of the team, while Puja Mahato will serve as the vice-captain. The team includes Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Rubi Poddar, Kavita Joshi, Kavita Kunwar, Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar, Anu Kadayat, Manisha Upadhyay, Rubina Chhetri, Soni Pakhrin, and Seema KC.

The alternate players are Savitri Dhami, Somu Bista, Sana Praveen, and Laxmi Saud.

The Asian Games qualifiers will take place in Malaysia from May 23 to 31, while the Premier Cup is scheduled from June 1 to 13.
