Anjan Shrestha becomes FNCCI president; new executive committee elected

Kathmandu – The new executive committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has been elected.

As per the provisions of the statute, Anjan Shrestha has automatically ascended to the leadership of the federation. Shrestha, who was the senior vice president in the outgoing committee led by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, will serve a three-year term.

In this election, Krishna Prasad Sharma and Dilsundar Shrestha were elected as vice presidents from the district and municipal chambers. Naresh Lal Shrestha was elected as a vice president from the commodity group, and Prabal Jung Pandey was elected as a vice president from the associate group.

From the district and municipal chambers, Arjun Kumar Shrestha, Ujjwal Prasad Kasaju, Keshav Prasad Bhandari, Krishna Katuwal, Gokul Shrestha, Chhatradhar Aatreya, Tarabahadur Karki, Prayas Shrestha, Mohan Prasad Shrestha, Laxman Raj Poudel, Shankar Giri, Santosh Khadka, Sudarshan Karki, and Hari Prasad Aryal were elected as executive committee members. Geeta Amatya and Hira Bhattarai were elected as female members from the district and municipal chambers.

Fourteen members were elected from the provincial district and municipal chambers. Jeevan Parajuli and Ramesh Bishwakarma from Koshi, Amarnath Sah and Bikash Kumar Sarda from Madhesh, Prakash Manandhar and Sabin Shrestha from Bagmati were elected. From Gandaki Province, Pavitra Kumar Shrestha and Subin Shrestha, from Lumbini Province, Yagya Prasad Bhattarai and Bal Krishna Subedi, and from Karnali, Padam Bahadur Shahi and Purichandra Devkota were elected unopposed. Pitambar Joshi was elected from Sudurpaschim.

Thirteen members were elected from the commodity group. Araniko Rajbhandari, Naniraj Ghimire, Pashupati Dev Pandey, Vidur Dhamala, Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, Rabin Puri, Rajkumar Karki, Lilendra Prasad Pradhan, Sangharsh Bista, Sagar Dhakal, and Hom Prasad Ghimire were elected. Sunita Nhemhafu was elected as a female member from the commodity group. Bishwanath Khanal and Sunaina Ghimire were elected as executive committee members from the commodity federation.

Seventeen members were elected from the associate group, including Ambika Prasad Poudel, Ishwar Bahadur GC, Ujjwal Kumar Shrestha, Rishi Agrawal, Krishna Lal Maharjan, Divas Neupane, Priyaraj Regmi, Batu Lamichhane, Babu Kaji Karki, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Ram Sharan Bhandari, Shakti Kumar Begani, Sachin Dhakal, Suyash Pyakurel, Suraj Upreti, Sushil Thapa, and Hemant Golchha. Abhigya Malla and Juna Mathema were selected as associate female members. Manoj Poudel was elected from the bi-national chamber of commerce. Gopal Shrestha and Suman Kumar Shrestha became executive committee members from the founding member group.
