Security forces rescue 89 passengers stranded by Roshi River flood in Kavre

Kavrepalanchok: A team from the security forces successfully rescued 89 passengers stranded due to a severe flood in the Roshi River at Roshi Gaunpalika-9, Ghumne, Kavre. The passengers, traveling in five HiAce vehicles, were caught in a precarious situation in the midst of the flood.

Among those rescued were 35 women, 48 men, and 6 children. The vehicles were unable to move forward due to the rising floodwaters, leaving the passengers stranded. Upon receiving information about the incident, a rescue team from the Nepal Army’s Trinetra Dal Battalion was deployed.

The joint efforts of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and other security agencies ensured the safe evacuation of all passengers to a secure location by 1:10 AM on 22nd Baisakh 2082. Despite the adverse conditions of the midnight hour and the raging flood, the proactive efforts of the security personnel ensured that there were no casualties and everyone was rescued safely.
