Moderate rain and thunderstorms expected in Terai regions this afternoon

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Division has indicated that this afternoon, there is a possibility of moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, windstorms, and hail in some areas of the Terai regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the division, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, will generally experience cloudy conditions. The Terai region of Sudurpaschim province will see partial cloud cover.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the rest of the country, are expected to have generally cloudy skies, while the Terai regions will have partial cloud cover. There is a possibility of moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, windstorms, and hail in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces, and in one or two locations in the remaining areas.
