Prime Minister Balen Shah extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Jayanti, emphasizing that Buddha’s teachings remain equally relevant today.

In his message shared on social media, he recalled the Four Noble Truths propounded by Buddha: “There is suffering, there is a cause of suffering, there is an end to suffering, and there is a path to end suffering.”

Prime Minister Shah highlighted the absence of light as the cause of darkness and stressed that the human journey should always be in pursuit of knowledge and solutions to problems. He wrote, “Whenever the rays of light step in, darkness automatically fades away. Our journey should be in search of the light of knowledge and the path to problem-solving.”

Discussing the context of revolution and change, Balen stated that true revolution begins not with weapons or physical force but with knowledge.

He expressed that Nepal is blessed by the birth of Buddha, the proponent of peace, and extended wishes for world peace.

Concluding his message, he cited Buddha’s famous saying “Appa Deepo Bhava” (Be your own light) and extended wise wishes to all.
