Kalimati market sets today’s wholesale prices for fruits and vegetables

Kathmandu – The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has set the wholesale prices for agricultural produce for today.

According to the committee, the prices per kilogram are as follows: large tomatoes (Indian) at Rs 110, small tomatoes (local) at Rs 70, small tomatoes (Indian) at Rs 60, small tomatoes (Terai) at Rs 60, red potatoes at Rs 27, red potatoes (Indian) at Rs 24, and dried onions (Indian) at Rs 37.

Similarly, carrots (local) are priced at Rs 60 per kg, carrots (Terai) at Rs 30, cabbage (local) at Rs 40, cabbage (Terai) at Rs 35, local cauliflower at Rs 30, Jyapu cauliflower at Rs 40, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 25, long eggplant at Rs 40, and round eggplant at Rs 50.

Furthermore, string beans (tane) are Rs 70 per kg, peas at Rs 50, local ghee beans at Rs 30, hybrid ghee beans at Rs 35, rajma beans at Rs 90, soybean pods at Rs 180, tate beans at Rs 110, bitter gourd at Rs 40, bottle gourd at Rs 30, local parwal at Rs 70, Terai parwal at Rs 70, sponge gourd at Rs 30, ridge gourd at Rs 35, ripe pumpkin at Rs 60, long green pumpkin at Rs 25, round green pumpkin at Rs 25, okra at Rs 60, sweet potato at Rs 80, snake gourd at Rs 70, yam at Rs 50, and squash at Rs 65.

Mustard greens are priced at Rs 50 per kg, spinach at Rs 70, cress at Rs 70, mustard leaves at Rs 30, fenugreek leaves at Rs 70, green onions at Rs 80, yam at Rs 100, oyster mushrooms at Rs 200, button mushrooms at Rs 450, king oyster mushrooms at Rs 300, and shiitake mushrooms at Rs 1,000.

Asparagus is priced at Rs 500 per kg, fiddlehead ferns at Rs 80, broccoli at Rs 80, moringa at Rs 120, koiralo at Rs 300, red cabbage at Rs 50, Jiri greens at Rs 90, kohlrabi at Rs 50, parsley at Rs 300, celery at Rs 160, fennel leaves at Rs 80, mint at Rs 110, horseradish at Rs 50, tamarind at Rs 180, bamboo shoots at Rs 160, tofu at Rs 150, and gundruk at Rs 300.

For fruits, apples (Jhole) are Rs 250 per kg, apples (Fuji) at Rs 300, bananas per dozen at Rs 220, lemons per kg at Rs 380, pomegranates at Rs 480, green grapes at Rs 240, black grapes at Rs 360, green watermelon at Rs 50, jackfruit per piece at Rs 250, cucumber (local) at Rs 50, cucumber (hybrid) at Rs 25, cucumber (local cross) at Rs 60, jackfruit at Rs 70, Chinese pears at Rs 250, Nepali guavas at Rs 80, Indian guavas at Rs 90, kiwi at Rs 450, and avocados at Rs 800.

Additionally, ginger is priced at Rs 100 per kg, dried chilies at Rs 450, green chilies at Rs 80, bullet green chilies at Rs 60, machhe chilies at Rs 60, bhude chilies at Rs 90, green garlic at Rs 150, green coriander at Rs 70, dried garlic (Chinese) at Rs 200, dried garlic (Nepali) at Rs 120, fresh fish (Rohu) at Rs 340, fresh fish (Bachuwa) at Rs 310, and fresh fish (Chadi) at Rs 300.
