Dr. Gunakar Bhatta Appointed as Vice‑Chair of National Planning Commission

Dr. Gunakar Bhatta has been appointed as the Vice‑Chair of the National Planning Commission of Nepal. The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to appoint him to the post.

According to the Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, the Cabinet’s decision assigns Dr. Bhatta the responsibility of serving as the Vice‑Chair of the Commission.

Dr. Bhatta’s appointment is expected to bring new leadership to Nepal’s national planning and development policy work.
