What drove RPP to support Prachanda’s government leadership?

It was the way of dealing of two leaders of two parties- UML and Nepali congress- that ultimately shaped Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s decision in favour of supporting the non-congress government led by Prachanda.

A top leader of the RPP said while NC’s President Deuba did not even entertain or meet RPP leaders, his people tried to break the party.

But KP Sharma Oli respectfully approached us, he said, adding “he even offered us the Deputy PM’s post which we declined”.

RPP chief Lingden refused to divulge details, but confirmed that there was an offer to join the government. He said “we are going to stick on our agenda and not going to barter that for power”.

Lingden also said the party wants political stability and their support to the UML backed government is aimed for that.
