Three killed, one critically injured in Palpa tipper accident

Palpa — Three people were killed in a tipper truck accident in Palpa on Saturday evening.

One person has been seriously injured.

Among the deceased is 26-year-old Chintabahadur Sunar of Shitganga Municipality-4, Arghakhanchi. The identities of the other two victims have yet to be confirmed, according to Police Deputy Superintendent Hom Prakash Chaudhary.

The injured has been identified as 33-year-old Rajan Chidi of Patuwa, Tansen Municipality-10, who is in critical condition.

The tipper (Lu 2 Kha 4525), which was heading from Jhadewa to the Rahabas limestone mine, met with the accident at around 6 PM on an inner unpaved road section in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-7. It fell approximately 50 meters off the road.

The injured were taken to Lumbini Medical College in Tansen, where doctors declared three of them dead.

Another seriously injured person is undergoing treatment in Palpa.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
