Blast Reported Near Siraha Court

Siraha — A bomb explosion has occurred near a court in Siraha district.

A pressure-cooker bomb exploded at around 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday at a law firm located next to the Siraha District Court in Siraha Bazaar.

According to Siraha Police spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramesh Bahadur Pal, one person was injured in the blast.

He said the injured individual has been taken to a provincial hospital for treatment.

Pressure-cooker bombs are a type of improvised explosive device that has been used in several incidents in Nepal in the past, often causing injuries and property damage.
